Privacy and cookies

How we use the information you send us, and your rights.

Template for review. This privacy notice is a starting template. It must be checked and adapted by Elevate Developments & Maintenance Ltd (and, ideally, a legal adviser) before the site goes live, particularly once the form provider and any analytics are chosen.

Who we are

This website is run by Elevate Developments & Maintenance Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16370402), registered office 16 Rhydhelig Avenue, Cardiff CF14 4DD. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. Contact us at infoelevatedev@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, the property location, project type, budget range and your message. We don’t ask for, and you shouldn’t send, sensitive information.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project (lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries).
  • To provide quotes and carry out work if you become a client (contract).
  • To keep records we’re legally required to keep, such as for tax (legal obligation).

We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.

How the enquiry form works

When you press send, your enquiry goes through our website host, Cloudflare, which runs the form. It checks the form is complete and filters out spam. To stop abuse it briefly uses your IP address (in a scrambled form) to limit how many enquiries can be sent from one connection.

Your browser then sends the enquiry to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co, run by Devro LABS), a form-to-email service that emails it to our inbox (infoelevatedev@gmail.com, a Google Gmail account). FormSubmit may hold a copy for a short time while delivering it. These providers may process data outside the UK, for example in the USA.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers who help us run the business and this website, such as Cloudflare (website hosting and the enquiry form), FormSubmit (delivering form enquiries by email) and Google (our email inbox), and only as needed. If a provider stores data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted after [12 months — to confirm]. Client records are kept for as long as needed for the project, warranties and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Email infoelevatedev@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use tracking or advertising scripts. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we’ll update this notice. Embedded links to Instagram take you to Instagram’s own site, which has its own privacy policy.
